SiCai bow is a horn bow from the Ming Dynasty in China, similar to the Tatar bow and belonging to the short bow shape. But the size is slightly longer and the drawing distance is larger. In the history of bows and arrows, in the early stages, the long bow gradually increased its curvature, reduced its thickness, and increased its strength with the use of tendons and angles, ultimately evolving into this type of short bow. The short bow is similar to modern recurve bows, with a distinct reflexive part that participates in deformation and rebound, which naturally has the highest efficiency and is the most scientific. I bought a "Chinese Ming Dynasty Bow-SiCai Bow" (35lbs). The bow it-self is fantastic. Nice and smooth drawing, no or just a little hand-shock and it looks beautiful.
The price included shipping to Germany of ~€30! That's too expensive. I accepted it but it felt bad.
And then, the bow arrive and I had to pay ~€30 tax! There's no hint on the page about that circumstance! And there's no reply to my questions I send through the web portals contact page!
I would give 5 stars but I'm, let's say, not amused about that behavior.
It is a great bow, very happy, but i found the bear paw glass is like a glass, hard but fragile. After one week of shooting i discovered some scratches and in the arrow way peel of a small piece. I give 10stars to bow but coating is not the best option in my opinion.
