This bow was discovered in murals from the Three Kingdoms period in China, and many soldiers were using such  long  bow. When we restored it, we were pleasantly surprised to find a bow that had an extremely comfortable pull, not as fast as a short bow, but with a long bow that provided excellent accuracy. If you want to experience a very comfortable bow drawing experience and very high archery accuracy, we strongly recommend that you try this bow. Many enthusiasts use it to participate in archery competitions.

Nice bamboo veneer, smooth draw and consistent shots

I ordered the bow 2 weeks ago and recently got the bow and, oh boy, I must say that the Zhu Ran gen2 is pure joy to shoot! My new favorite bow and this is from someone who own 4 laminated korean bows and 4 fiberglass bows. The long draw length of 34" (safe draw length) allows for a smooth draw process, from pre-draw to full draw. It can be shot safely with 11 gpp arrows. The sound a little bit loud and has a tiny bit of handshock but nothing that will deter you from shooting more. Bear in mind that the Zhu Ran is not a speed monster. That being said, the length of the bow and stable limbs allows for more consistent shots than short korean bows, which I am familiar with. The bamboo veneer looks magnificent. The curves and siyah look elegant. No wonder why the Zhu Ran gen.2 is among AF Archery best sellers! Thank you ShanShan!

My new Favourite Bow : Zhu Ran

I was looking for a new Bow to be my thumb release bow. Got it in 35# @ 28. The draw is realy smooth, normaly i shoot an shorter Seljuk bow, the overall Shooting Experience is very nice. The handling is also very... comfortable, i instantly felt familiar with the bow. 5 Stars from me. Cheers AF and fellow Archers.

Sturdy bow. Love it

Bought one of these for LARP combat after having two smaller laminated bows get destroyed from how rough they get treated on the field. This one has been thrown a bunch, stepped on, and used regularly many weekends since and it still shoots perfectly. We shoot awkward foam tipped arrows that are no where near the max draw length of this bow. I prefer the smaller laminated bows in terms of size and quickness, but so far this bow is the only laminated wood one that can handle the abuse of our sport with the way I throw it around. This is my third bow from AF Archery, and when the times comes, I'm sure my fourth one will be as well.

ZhuRan bow Bamboo(Gen2 Updated version)

I love it - super light - 18mm arrow pass - easy to string but not necessarily for a beginner - draw curve very smooth - 37" max draw provides confidence as I draw 35" - up to now I am impressed
